Statement of Beliefs

1. God: The Holy Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three equally divine yet distinct persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is the Creator and sustainer of all things, perfect in holiness, love, and truth, and worthy of all worship and devotion.

(Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19)

2. Jesus Christ: Our Lord and Saviour

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross as our substitute for sin, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return in glory. Through Him alone we receive forgiveness, salvation, and eternal life.

(John 1:14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11)

3. The Holy Spirit: Our Helper and Empowerer

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates and indwells all who believe, and leads, comforts, and empowers believers for Christ-like living and ministry. We affirm the baptism and ongoing filling of the Holy Spirit as a distinct and empowering experience for believers, given for witness and ministry. We believe the gifts of the Spirit remain active today, sovereignly distributed by the Spirit as He wills, for the building up of the Church and the glory of God.

(Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11)

4. The Scriptures: The Word of God

We believe the Bible. Old and New Testaments. Is the inspired, authoritative Word of God, revealing His will, nature, and saving purposes. Scripture is infallible in its teaching and is the supreme authority for faith, life, and practice. All Scripture ultimately points to and is fulfilled in Jesus Christ, the Living Word.

(2 Timothy 3:16–17; John 1:1, 14)

5. Humanity and the Fall

We believe humanity was created in the image of God, designed for relationship with Him and with one another. Through disobedience and sin, humanity fell, becoming separated from God and subject to brokenness and death. All people are in need of God’s grace and salvation.

(Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23)

6. Salvation

We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Through His atoning death and resurrection, believers are forgiven, justified, adopted into God’s family, and made new creations in Christ. Salvation cannot be earned by human effort but is entirely God’s work of grace.

(Ephesians 2:8–9; Titus 3:5–7)

7. The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, celebrate the sacraments, and live in loving community. Every believer is a vital member of this family, gifted and commissioned to serve God and others in unity and love.

(Acts 2:42–47; Ephesians 2:19–22)

8. Baptism and Communion

We believe Jesus gave His Church two sacraments: baptism and communion.
Baptism: By immersion, for confessing believers as a public declaration of faith and identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:4).Communion: Sharing bread and the cup as a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice and a proclamation of His return.

(1 Corinthians 11:23–26)

9. Healing

We believe divine healing is provided for through the work of Jesus Christ and remains available today. God heals according to His will, and we are invited to pray with faith, trusting Him as our healer and sustainer.

(Isaiah 53:4–5; James 5:14–15)

10. The Hope of Christ’s Return

We believe in the personal, bodily, and glorious return of Jesus Christ. He will banish sin, death, and evil forever, bringing judgment and renewal. Those who reject God will be eternally separated from Him, while those who receive His grace will enjoy eternal life with Him. Christ will usher in a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness dwells.

(John 14:1–3; Revelation 21:1–5)

11. Creativity in God’s Kingdom

We believe creativity is a gift from God, reflecting His nature as Creator. As image-bearers, we are called to use our creative gifts—through art, music, film, design, writing, and every form of expression—as acts of worship and witness. Creativity serves both the Church and the world by pointing to the beauty, truth, and hope of Christ.

Closing Confession

In all things, we confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. To Him be the glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
